Walk-A-Thon Volunteer Positions

Welcome to this year's Walk-A-Thon!  With our school growing and growing, we need more volunteers than ever before.  With everyone working together as a team, it will be a great success.  This year we have over 300 volunteer slots to fill – so we hope you will sign up for more than one.  We kept them all in short time blocks, so you still have time to have fun with your children (and grab a bite to eat, too).

Sign-ups are online this year (instead of on the wall outside of the multi). Please be sure to include your cell phone number with your information when you sign-up on www.volunteerspot.com. Please click this link to sign-up.

*Note that Youth Helpers are only requested in certain locations - so please sign up your SMS or HHS son or daughter in only those spots.

Volunteer Positions

Day-Before Set-Up (need people with trucks or vans)
Volunteer with Karl Kovac
Assist Facilities Chair with picking up items, such as tables, pop-up tents, etc. in several locations and taking them to the multi for staging.

Indian Food Prep -- night before the WAT

Help the night before with cooking and preparing the Indian food

Runners/All-Purpose Help
Volunteer with a variety of WAT team members
This job is extremely important as there are always last-minute things to do. During your shift you will pitch in where needed.

Assist on event day with overall set-up, including tables, posting signs, setting-up tents/ canopies, sound system, etc.

Clean Up – FRIDAY

You will help return Cherry Chase to its pre-Walk-A-Thon state by folding down tables, taking down signs, folding down tents/canopies, making sure trash is in bins, etc.

Clean Up – SATURDAY

You will help clean-up the Multi and prepare it for school on Monday as well as return items in an organized fashion into the Endeavor.

Clean Up Walking Course

You will help dismantle the course by removing the course markers, taking down the music tent, cleaning-up any trash left on the course, etc.
