"Walking on Sunshine" - The theme of this year's Walk-A-Thon was perfect for the beautiful spring day Mother Nature gave us! We had a record number of kids walking, parents participating, volunteers, teachers walking, auction items and auction participation. Because of this extraordinary participation, together we raised a record $77,000! That's $13,000 more than in 2009! Congratulations!!! Way To Go Teachers and Staff!
This year’s Walk-A-Thon was a particular success due to the generosity and creativity of all of our teachers and staff. We had 100% Auction participation from the teachers and staff! Their donations made this year’s Auction raise more money than ever before – Way To Go!!!!
And a special thank you to Diane, Barbara, Susan and Jose. You helped us every step of the way and we truly appreciate you and your never-ending positive attitudes!
Golfland!
Thanks to all the kids who earned $175 or more for the WAT. The Golfland trip for these kids starts on May 17th. We are in need of drivers – please contact Mona Sohal at monasohal@mac.com or Ritva Garlick at rgarlick@comcast.net if you have a few hours to join in the fun!

Thank you to the 250+ volunteers who made this event possible. The volunteering spirit at Cherry Chase is second to none. We would also like to recognize and thank the folks that “jumped in” and helped out with whatever we needed and the Youth Helpers from our neighboring middle and high schools!
