The School Site Council, though meetings are open to all, has a voting membership of 10 (5 parents, 5 Cherry Chase staff). Members are elected by the parent and staff communities and serve a two-year term. The role of the School Site Council is to implement the school site plan. The School Site Council creates objectives for the school yearly and sponsors teams to develop programs such as FAME, Band, In-class Music, String Orchestra, reading and computer labs which will move us toward meeting these objectives. All school spending of "Site Improvement Funds" and program funds from PTA are reviewed and approved by the School Site Council. 2007-2008 Nomination Form School Site Council Members: - Diane Hemmes

SSC meetings are monthly in the staff room. Agendas are posted at least one week prior to the meeting in the school office. *The tactical teams are made up of volunteers from the parent and staff community and have their own meeting schedule (some meet mostly in e-mail).
