I have been teaching kindergarten in Sunnyvvale School District since 1971, starting out in bilingual education and later developmental kindergarten for the very bright but very young.  I have been at 5 schools in this school district.  Before that I taught 7th grade Spanish  in a rural school in northern California.  I was bilingual in Spanish and English and have maintained my fluency in Spanish.

   I love teaching kindergarten, seeing the growth in independence, responsibility and excitement about learning in my young students in the first experience in formal schooling.  I believe children learn best in an environment that supports and respects their stage of development .
