The Cherry Chase Parent Teacher Association (PTA) is an out-of-district unit organized under the authority of the California State PTA for the purpose of encouraging parent involvement, offering parent education, and forming a partnership with the local school site to support the educational program.

The PTA consists of an active group of parents and teachers whose goal is to enrich the lives of all of the students at Cherry Chase. The PTA helps manage and fund fantastic programs at Cherry Chase including in-class music and art, FAME, after-school band and violin, a reading lab, math lab, computer lab and much more. We sponsor one major fundraiser (Walk-A-Thon) and several other revenue-generating activities throughout the year (Fall Festival, Sally Foster gift wrap sales) so that we may supplement the educational opportunities available for all Cherry Chase students. We also manage the eScrip program for the Cherry Chase community.

In 2007-2008, the PTA and School Site Council are continuing the Direct Appeal program (Direct Appeal Letter in PDF or Direct Appeal Letter in Microsoft Word). Our goal is to provide a direct and easy way for parents to contribute and reduce much of the peripheral fundraising activities. Thus, we are asking parents to write a check directly to Cherry Chase PTA. The Direct Appeal Donation Form (click here for the Microsoft Word version) is now online as is a Matching Donation list for you determine whether or not your company offers matching donations.

General Associating meetings are usually held the 3rd Tuesday of each month. PTA Membership is available at any time throughout the school year, with our regular Membership Drive kick-off at the beginning of the school year.
