Laurie Phillips
First Grade

I was born and raised in this area and am lucky to have many family members close by. I majored in American Studies and minored in Spanish at Stanford. After college, I spent time in Monterey and in Tahoe before getting my Multiple Subject CLAD teaching credential from Notre Dame de Namur in Belmont. This is my 7^th year of teaching.  The first 3 were in kindergarten at Cumberland. Since then, I have been teaching first grade at Cherry Chase.  I love teaching and am thrilled to be working at Cherry Chase. The community is extremely welcoming and supportive. This is a great place to be, and first grade is so much fun!

When I am not teaching, I am often in Tahoe or going to Sharks games or cheering for other local teams.
