Amy Poehler Launches New Show with ON Networks Amy Poehler is launching a fresh and wholly original digital series that celebrates young girls who are changing the world by being themselves. The show - Smart Girls at the Party - aims to help girls find confidence in their own aspirations and talents, and to prove that you don't have to be famous to be interesting. To watch the trailer, click here. In each episode, Amy Poehler interviews a girl with a unique talent, community interest or point of view. The conversation ranges from the serious to the hilarious. Girls offer witty truths and show that you don’t have to be famous to be interesting or to make a difference in the world. On Networks plans to launch the first season of Smart Girls in October. All episodes will be available to watch or download exclusively through ON’s AllScreen™ syndication partners, including iTunes, Adobe Media Player, and a set of targeted Website, digital TV and mobile partners. "Madeline's Christmas" at Sunnyvale Community Theatre Meet the ever-spunky Madeline in a musical play adapted from one of Ludwig Bemelmans' captivating books. It's the night before Christmas and everyone is sick in bed except brave Madeline, who feels just fine and must take care of the eleven other little girls and Miss Clavel "in the old house in Paris all covered with vines." For grades K - 5. 
There are 4 performances open to the general public:
Saturday, December 6th at 7pm Friday, December 12th at 7pm Saturday, December 13th at 11am Saturday, December 20th at 11am
Tickets are $12.00 at the door, $11.00 in advance and less if purchased in larger quantities (e.g. 8 for $80.).
The play will be performed at the Sunnyvale Community Center Theatre, 550 Remington Drive, Sunnyvale.

Nature and the Environment Full Circle Farm (Sustainable | Educational | Non-profit) Full Circle Farm/Sustainable Community Gardens is a local non-profit dedicated to the renewal of local, sustainable food systems throughout Silicon Valley. It provides affordable access to locally produced food, as well as education in environmental living, sustainable agriculture, and nutrition. Full Circle Farm - Farmstand Hours Wed - 2:30pm to 8pm Sat - 9am to 3pm Full Circle Farm is located at: 1055 Dunford Ave Sunnyvale, CA 94087 Here are two great way to get involved at Full Circle Farm in November: - Garden Volunteer Hours: Wednesdays and Saturdays 10am to dark. All ages are welcome, no experience necessary, drop in/out, take home some veggies. Activities include harvesting, weeding, composting, planting, and more. Park along Dunford and walk in through the west gate (look for the sign).
- Farm Workdays: Thursdays 3pm to 5:30pm, Saturday Nov 22nd 10am to 4pm. Must be 12 or older, no experience necessary, drop in/out. This month we will be harvesting and boxing the rest of the winter squash, picking the rest of the tomatoes, weeding, and more. Meet in the parking lot.

The Growing Connection (Cultivating Food, Connecting Minds, Harvesting Hope) The Growing Connection is a people-driven pilot project developed by the Food & Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (http://www.fao.org) to realize innovative, sustainable solutions to hunger, malnutrition and poverty worldwide. Using the Internet, TGC participants capture relevant information, contact expert sources and communicate with each other, fostering innovation and cultural exchange. "CAC" stands for Community Advisory Committee. Re-formed in 2007, the SELPA 2 CAC is a group of people — mostly parents of children with special needs along with district administrators and special education staff — who work on a wide range of issues related to special education.
