I've been teaching at Cherry Chase since 2000. I feel very connected to this community since I had been a Cherry Chase parent for many years. All three of my children have gone through Cherry Chase.

I previously taught in San Jose for six years (grades kinder through fourth). When my youngest child was born, I took a leave of absence to raise my children (ages 4, 2, and newborn at that time). I ran a daycare business out of my home for many years, taught preschool, and substitute taught during my nine-year absence from the classroom. I loved teaching 5th grade and am looking forward to teaching second grade this year.

When I'm not at school, I'm doing the typical "mom" activities - helping with homework, driving carpools, grocery shopping, etc. During vacations I like to catch up at home and travel. I feel very fortunate to have a job I love so close to home that allows me to still have vacation time with my family.
